A distinctive feature of these ELC programs is their ability to meet niche school study tour market needs. For example, programs for study tours originating in Japan, Korea, and Hong Kong are designed to complement the curriculum goals for each country, while at the same time enhancing student English language proficiency.

We adopt an integrated cross-cultural approach, involving the delivery of practical language situations in the classroom and homestay environments.

Sucessful students at University of Sunshine Coast!

Two Brazilian students, Rosane Blanco and Eduardo Ramallion, have received media acknowledgement, for the small business enterprises they have set-up on the Sunshine Coast.

Rosane Blanco, a final year International Business student, is about to launch her first bikini design range. Her designs are strongly influenced by traditional Brazilian bikini lines. The range will be launched at a fashionable Sunshine Coast venue during the summer. Local buyers have already shown strong commercial interest in Rosane's bikinis.

Rosane has developed a comprehensive marketing plan for her bikini range attributing her University studies in Promotions Management, and Sport and Event Marketing as being particuarly industry relevant to her December product launch.

And, Eduardo Ramallion, an ELICOS student, has started a small business in capoeira instruction. Capoeira combines elements of dance and martial arts. Eduardo has identified market interest in capoeira instruction on the Coast. He says that he started this small business, “not only to make some extra money but also because I love capoeira dance”.
Eduardo also spends some of his spare time working as a waiter. He has found this experience to be invaluable in improving his conversational and practical English.

Other students choose different pathways, including internships, provided by the University of the Sunshine Coast to experience Australian business organisations.
