Orientation
The Gold Coast Institute of TAFE will help you get settled into your new life on the Gold Coast. You will get lots of information about living in Australia, finding your way around the Gold Coast and studying at Gold Coast Institute of TAFE. You’ll even have fun and make a few new friends! The International Student Centre staff at Southport will assist you with all enrolment proceedures and much more!
English Language Support
Studying in a foreign language is not easy. That’s why the Gold Coast Institute of TAFE provides, during class time, individual tutorial support if required.
Academic Study Support
Your faculty will provide you with the appropriate assistance with writing assignments, preparing for exams, general study skills and time management.
Counselling
Culture shock, problems at home, or just someone to talk to. Gold Coast Institute of TAFE has qualified international counsellors to give students free, confidential support.
Student Activities
The Gold Coast Institute of TAFE employs a Student Activities Coordinator who organises, on a regular basis, social and sporting activities for students at the Institute.

Airport Reception
Gold Coast TAFE can arrange for you to be met on arrival at either Brisbane International Airport or the Gold Coast Airport and be transferred to your accommodation (there is an additional cost for this service).
Homestay Accommodation
Homestay requirements are professionally managed to ensure that students’ special needs are met. Prices are very competitive and provide a service, which can include transfer to and from Gold Coast Institute of TAFE for classes (prices on application).
Backpackers Accommodation
Gold Coast Institute of TAFE can also assist students into a backpacker hostel for short-term accommodation. There are two modern and well-equipped backpacker hostels within walking distance of Gold Coast Institute of TAFE, Southport.
