Gold Coast TAFE student honoured as the state’s best

The passion and determination of Queensland TAFE hospitality student Emanuela Pagani has resulted in her being named as Queensland’s Vocational Student of the year.

Ms Pagani was presented with the award the on September 7 during the 2006 Queensland State Awards state final at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

“It is such a great honour to achieve this award and at the same time be recognised for my efforts and my commitment to my training at Gold Coast TAFE, said Ms Pagani.

“I am very grateful to all the wonderful teachersand staff members from TAFE who have supported me and gave me the confidence to never give up”.

Ms Pagani who is of Italian origin pursued a Double Diploma in Hospitality Management and Event Management at Gold Coast TAFE and now is responsible for event management at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Ms Pagani was full of praise for the training she received at Gold Coast TAFE.

“I enjoyed very much studying at Gold Coast TAFE, not only for the
interesting subjects useful for my career path, but also for the friendly atmosphere created by the teachers and their constructive way of adapting their teaching skills to all different students from all over the world, she said.

“The training I have got at Gold Coast TAFE and the experience of being involved in the Queensland Training Awards has given me the confidence to make the right choices to achieve my goals’.”It has been a very fulfilling experience and the most amazing time of my life”.
