Colleges in Australia
Governing authorities have requested that Carrick’s qualifications become “un-nested”. In essence this means that one qualification will not be nested in another.
This change will happen immediately in Melbourne but will not occur in Sydney until 2009, so all courses remain the same for Sydney campus.
So what does this mean…
This means that new packages of higher qualifications will not include the lower qualifications. Students will need to enrol into each qualification individually with clear pre-requisites for entrance into each qualification, and for pathways. Qualifications will display different durations from what they have in the past.
Courses that will be affected…
Melbourne course enrolments in Business Marketing, Tourism, Hospitality Operations, Commercial Cookery and Patisserie will be effected immediately.
Enrolment options…
Students will now need to enrol into each individual qualification. For example, a student seeking to complete a full trade equivalent to 2 years will need to enrol into a combined packaged program.
