The Australian Institute of Holistic Medicine based in Perth offers students the opportunity to learn and explore the amazing career opportunities and advancements in Holistic and Natural medicines. In this day and age we are finding people are more and more interested in improving their health naturally, instead of using invasive medical treatments full of potentially harmful chemicals we are opting for a healthy cleaner and greener option. Location

The Australian Institute of Holistic Medicine or AIHM as it is better known is located in one of the newest areas of Perth's Southern suburbs. Cockburn Central has been one of the fastest and most successfully developed suburbs in recent times, offering a brand new train and bus station as well as a brand new Shopping Centre and easy access to the Kwinana Freeway (meaning a 15 minute drive into the CBD). This spot is the place to live, build and be.

 

Campus

The campus is centrally located, with plenty of parking and a stroll away from the new train station. The campus is reasonably new offering bigger facilities as it offers mainly courses in a few main subjects it means that the facilities, teachers and student counsellors are all readily available. Also on offer is a Student Clinic, here qualified practitioners help the students to administer medications and practise their new skills in a clinical setting giving them the hands on skills they will need once having completed their course. The public are welcome to attend this clinic.

 

Courses

The courses on offer at the institute are some of the few offered in holistic medicine that will leave students able to practise in a professional medical setting. Fully accredited, it offers certificates, diplomas to bachelor degrees in the following areas:

  • Herbal Medicine
  • Homoepathy
  • Ayerveda
  • Massage (Certificate and Diploma)
  • Nutritional Medicine
  • Acupuncture

 

Entry Requirements

Although there are no formal entry requirements the institute will require completion of year 10 studies, and a good grasp of the English Language.

Students need suitable English proficiency to enter a course; an IELTS overall score of 5.5 is usually necessary.

 

Enrollment Date

The institute will take new students each semester, new semesters commence every six months during Febuary and July.
